PART3 just before i finish for the day i had to include work of ian McKeever, with his layers, grids, circular shapes and blue/black/white colours .... i discovered his work in a book shop in NY in 2011, never having come across him before.... he had slipped from my mind but my work today reminded me of him.

PART 2 it's now16.30 and i have spent this afternoon WITH MORE playing with same images on picassa and ended up with images below. .... I REALLY HAVE TO STOP MAKING MORE COMPUTER IMAGES and now use what i have generated. ... decided to introduce colour to give an extra dimension.
My images below are what reminded me of artist Ian McKeever above.
I think it has been worthwhile working on images further as they seem to be becoming more sophisticated/interesting as prints.... however noticed this morning that sometimes simpler versions are better/more helpful for generating further work from ??? i'll have to wait and see :) ...but again i'm pleased with what i have done today and am curious to where i will go next.

PART 1 was in room for 9am and tried to upload a new blog but just wouldn't maybe images too large!!
looked through images from W3d1 and felt a bit frustrated as most had too much filter processing done to them to 'feel' right to work from. chose one image that i intuitively wanted to work from and back processed it to get something i wanted to use. Played a bit with image, light /shadow, +/-, and pixillation. i like the way the larger pixillation give a background grid format. Stayed with black and white format as gives more open options when just working with tones. Played with scale, using 'make poster', in picassa, with 2 different options and printed out images for reference in contact sheets and A4 being mindful of resourses.

+/- scan of animal skull, with filters, including pixellation... small circles are dust/sand debris on scanner bed. |

criteria key words for project
- found objects
- layers
- digital / making
also liking textural quality
.... and think that all these images at this point fill the above criteria.
i have also printed out these images on left as A4 draft copies to help make work next session.
