staying away from computer for this day (written in retrospect on mon)still not feeling 100% but think i've found cause today.... hayfever!! ...of course after living at sea side and now surrounded by fields .... why didn't i think of that earlier!!!
...wanted to make something just to get me out of myself, and also know i'm away next week, so focussed in on circle/pebble images from yesterday but couldn't be bothered to paint, so found A4card, OHP transparencies,coloured transparent film (used earlier),foam board and white sticky backed plastic ... also cheap colour permanent marker pens, and just started cutting ... and cuttig. (and still have lotes of white circles cut and not used .... thought of ian mckeever art, so will use these another time.
scanned colours not very true as pink background is
actually fluorescent orange and pale green also
fluorescent!
My collages made me think of textiles and shisha mirror work..... ?? ...go this way next??
this work has been very time consuming but i was happy just to but stick and colour ... pens acted like watercolour on acetate ... an unexpected surprise... on another day i would find this all so frustrating and slow!!!
thinking i might cut out whilst travelling or watching tv at relatives next week and save making up for when i get back home... i will have to think/plan for this.
