helmsley day off

visited helmsley for coffee this morning ... weather glorious ... beginning to recognise landscape... rape seed fields becoming very yellow.
visited art exhibition and chatted with local artist .....................??? (get info ) at Helmsley art centre ... good draughtsmanship and colour, just not my thing. ...went on to saltbox gallery and chatted with owners, a lovely couple who have an exhibition now at priestleys in york (jewellery/blacksmith) and are part of Rydale artworks and NYOS (open studios) so they said they would be out to see my work. (help) ...needing to start thinking about exhibiting as they are looking for new work (48%) and exhibition space at scarborough and danby in next few months.

because weather is beautiful and it's my day off, i decided to take a 10 min.walk to derelict allotments which are soon to have new houses built on. i have recently been working on layers and pebbles/ circles and want something fresh today. i took photos (highest resolution) till phone ran out of battery after about an hour ....at least 120 so really looking forward to viewing them .... i found it to be a very sad/moving experience ... even though the day was glorious, i felt i could have wept ...  so many memories ... so much loss

...think this will affect my work
