monkey brain

Often when I'm tired, I have what I call a monkey brain, especially if I have had coffee....and my thoughts just swing from one branch to another. In the past, when I have suffered from depression, this mode has often taken over. I don't think monkey brain is all negative, it just needs to be kept under control!....and I've found that exercise, proper food,sleep, meditation and lists help.
However, as I have set today aside to catch up with 'where I'm at', and I'm teaching at the museum on Thurs and Fri, monkey brain is in full flow (and after coffee and a sticky bun) ....so I'm making a list of what I am thinking about and quite frustrated that I can't do this by telepathy!
1. Listened to Grayson Perry's 3rd. lecture at 9am.
2. Then listened to from 'Archive to Interview' with Questions.
3. Must write up tutorial sheet but ok as I have notes.
4. Want to write about several local exhibitions I've seen in last few days.
5. Yesterday I noticed post below, from Ryedale Arts, (my new patch of Yorkshire), so have contacted them, signed up to their newsletter and they ask if I have a website.

 'We've been working on the planning and development of the Cultural Commissioning project and we'll be announcing opportunities for members to get involved either as mentors or mentees in a new Peer-to-peer Mentoring Initiative. With support from Ryedale District Council we'll be offering training for members who wish to become mentors and the chance for other members to access professional mentoring advice to develop new projects, a critical analysis of their work or business, or just have some focused one-to-one time with another creative professional. The scheme is intended as a way of sharing the extensive professional skills and knowledge that already exist within RAW and helping each other to develop as professionals artists and makers. (will miss meeting Oct. 30th.)

7. Deadline approaching for involvement in Ryedale Open Studios in June .......probably do want to be involved so need to fill out forms.
8. Write up notes on 'take 2 influences'
9. Comment on group feedback to above.
10. Check out Mark's resources mentioned last night (where are they?) and respond to his Blurb book email sharing experience of photo books made with photobox.
11. Finish reading artists interviews.
12. Choose and print off teaching resources for Thurs/Fri Museum workshops.
13. Read up about microscopy for course from new book....
14. Check out Rob Kesseler site discussed with friend

Prioritise above ....so get some lunch and start with no.12 as I'm getting nervous in case my printer doesn't work and need to get them printed somewhere else.
