thoughts on exploratory project before seminar tonight.

after going round in circles wondering what i should do for my exploratory project, at this point have decided to continue with ideas from making day and FFF. ...was thinking of using reference material from  my 5 photo books i made about 2 years ago, but decided that i want to be more open and not tied to a sense of place..... exploring surface through MATERIALITY seems to be a good idea for me at this point in time. To take up and continue ideas from these two projects would help me go deeper .... not something i'm used to doing!! I'm interested in creating surface (through texture and layers) and also how artwork is often seen through photographic medium, ie, internet, websites, newspapers and magazines (ie not first hand in galleries). artists, gerhard richter, anselm kiefer, alberto burri, arte povre, kurt schwitters and merz.
